Justin K. Handy

Justin K. Handy was born on September 20, 1981, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Vince and Cheryl (Havener) Handy and passed away on May 17, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 44 years, 7 months and 27 days.

Justin grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska where he attended Southeast High School and graduated with the class of 1999. He was employed with the State of Nebraska, Pure & Secure, and J & C Co., all in Lincoln, for many years.

On June 16, 2012, he was united in marriage to Amanda Furby at Faith Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska. They made their home in Lincoln for a couple of years before moving back to Seward County, living in Utica and Milford. They moved to Seward in 2022.

Justin was an outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a stereo enthusiast, always wanting his car stereo to be the loudest car around. Justin enjoyed classic rock music including Metallica and UB40. He loved watching his two sons, Schuyler and Logan, grow up.

Justin was preceded by his father, Vince Handy.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Amanda Handy, Seward; mother, Cheryl Havener, Lincoln; sons, Schuyler Handy and Logan Handy, both of York; stepfather, Danny Lind, Lincoln; sister, Miranda Miller, AZ; niece, nephew, many cousins and a host of friends.
