Karen B. Sasek of Tucson, Arizona, died suddenly on August 29 at home. Aged 70, she was the daughter of Mabel and Charles Lyon, of Seward, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Bernie Sasek of Tucson, her son Bill of Corona de Tucson, Arizona, and son and daughter-in-law Gregg and LeAnn of Tucson. Gregg and LeAnn have two adorable children, Theo and Hannah, that will greatly miss Grandma Karen. She is also survived by two brothers in Seward; Pastor Rod Lyon and wife Ann, and Roger Lyon and wife Fran, and their respective families. Karen had a calling card that stated: wife, mother, grandmother, friend, wannabee painter, needle worker, woodcarver, gardener, paper crafter, quilter, and ham radio operator. After retiring from University Medical Center in Tucson, Karen spent many happy hours with friends involved in these avocations. |
