Obituary
Kay grew up on a farm near Friend. She attended country school two miles North of Friend as well as Friend High School where she graduated with the Class of 1965. Kay was united in marriage to Kenneth Holeka and to this union two children were born, Michelle and Jason. Kay owned and operated her own cleaning business for several years and also cleaned at the Super 8 Motel. She worked at Concordia as a cook before receiving her CNA Certificate in 1999. Kay worked at Crestview Care Center in Milford until she was forced to retire due to health problems in 2011. She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed sitting in her chair out in her front yard. Kay loved her children and grandson Alex very much.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle Mueller; brother, Don Newton, 1974.
She is survived by her son, Jason Holeka, Seward; grandson, Alex Drake, Lincoln; brother, Ron Newton, Friend; niece, Tammy Pflum, David City. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Kay.
