Keith O. Brose was born on February 9, 1940, near Milford, NE; to Oscar and Emma (Ihde) Brose and passed away after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on February 14, 2014, at the age of 74 years and 5 days. Keith was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed on April 11, 1954 at St. John Lutheran Church. Keith grew up in Seward and attended elementary school at St. John Lutheran School. He then attended Seward High School where he graduated in the class of 1958. Keith served in the National Guard. On May 2, 1974, Keith married Judith Petrie in South Dakota. Keith worked all his life as a mason and did custom swathing up until his passing. He enjoyed raising livestock and tending to the farm. Keith is survived by his wife Judy Brose, children; Deb and Steve Hemphill of Staplehurst, NE; Kelly Hansen and Orlando Silva of Seward, NE, Holly Soukup and significant other Corey Stull of Seward, NE; Mike and Jennine Neihardt of Lincoln, NE; and Donnie and Georgia Stockley of Seward, NE; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, sister, Ardella Schultz Keith was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Emma Brose, brother Cliff Brose, sister, Lola Hemsath, son-in-law, Don Soukup, granddaughter, Rachel Neihardt.
