Kenneth Eugene Tomlin was born on July 6, 1932, in Eustis, Nebraska to Charles and Hazel (Nelson) Tomlin and passed away on June 18, 2015, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 12 days. Ken grew up in Indianola, NE where he attended school. On April 1, 1951, he enlisted into the United States Air Force in Cheyenne, WY; and was honorably discharged on September 21, 1952 at Clovis Air Force, NM. On May 23, 1953, Ken married Peggy Louise Sedam at the Faith United Methodist Church in Lincoln and to this union six children were born. Ken worked in construction all over the state of Nebraska and Colorado. He also worked as a pen rider at Vandenberg Farms near Columbus which he really enjoyed. Ken loved horseback riding, camping, fishing, and hunting, he was quite the outdoorsmen. When he wasn't outside, he could be found in the garage fixing things and drinking beer. He loved playing poker and getting rowdy. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Tina and Tonya, four brothers and 3 sisters. Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years Peggy of Papillion, NE; two sons, Terry Tomlin and companion Viv of Lincoln; and Tim Tomlin and wife Becky of Denver, CO; two daughters, Tammy Sides and husband Les of Bartley, NE; and Tricia Bishop and husband Bryant of Papillion, NE; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Polly Schoonover and Millie Meyers and companion Rich Long and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 27, 2015, Zabka Funeral Home with Chaplain Ryal Robbins officiating.
