Kristin Marie Leaf was born on April 27, 1961 in Central City, Nebraska to the Reverend P. Gerald and Barbara (Thompson) Leaf and passed away on August 7, 2017 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 11 days. She grew up in several locations due to her father being a minister.

Kristin graduated from Axtell High School in 1979. After her children were born, she attended Hastings College for Broadcasting. She later began fundraising for Epworth Village in York for several years and then for the Jesuit Academy School in Omaha for three years. Kristin moved to Seward when her health began to fail and be closer to her daughter. She loved being with her grandkids and spending time with her parents, brother and sister. Kristin loved being around people, she enjoyed a good time and had a great sense of humor.

Kristin is survived by her children, Lisa (Nickel) and husband Nate Wittgren and their children Lane and Nora of Elkhorn, NE, Stuart and wife Louisa Nickel and their children Harvey and June of Rockford, IL, Christopher Mark Nickel of Omaha, NE, Edith (Nickel) and husband Jake Stutzman and child Raylan of Milford, NE, parents, Gerald and Barbara Leaf of McPherson, KS, brother Timothy and wife Martha Leaf and their children Paxton and Maggie of McPherson, KS and sister Karla Leaf of McPherson, KS.

Services will be held at a later date in Lindsborg, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Kristin Leaf Family for future designation.
