LaDonna J. Craig

LaDonna Jean Craig was born on March 12, 1987, in Seward, Nebraska to Brian and Tami (Swogger) Craig and passed away unexpectedly due to a car accident on March 15, 2026, near Malcolm, Nebraska at the age of 39 years and 3 days.

LaDonna grew up in Seward where she attended and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 2005. She was a straight “A” student, played soccer and marched in the band playing the flute. LaDonna then attended Bryan School of Nursing where she received her LPN pin. She worked as Med Aide at Kinship Pointe for two years and at TELCOR, Inc. in the medical billing and coding department for 10 years. LaDonna was recruited by the Lincoln No Coast Roller Derby team in 2011. She started skating in 2012 and was the team captain in 2015 and 2017. Her name on the team was “Stormsteris” and she also loved coaching and helping with team clinics for younger girls to excel in the sport. LaDonna was a member of the WFTDA.

LaDonna loved to travel with her sisters and family on cruises. She enjoyed music and going to any kind of concert, except country. LaDonna loved going on bicycle rides with her dad around town and riding horseback and bikes in Colorado. She liked to try different foods, especially Indian food, and was always up for a new adventure. She had a green thumb for gardening and enjoyed growing anything. She was truly an outdoor girl with lots of humor and known for her infectious laugh. LaDonna always went to the beat of her own drum and was the life of the party. She loved her family, especially her three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; two uncles, Jim and Gary Craig; aunt, Janet Rundell.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her parents, Brian and Tami Craig, Seward; two sisters, Erica and husband, Rob Cunningham, Seward, Krista Craig, Seward; three nieces, Helen, Charlotte and Victoria Cunningham, Seward; aunts, Melissa Craig, Seward, Jane and husband, John Wessel, St. Paul, MN; two uncles, John and wife, Sue Craig, Seward, Thom Swogger, OH; numerous cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Craig family for future designations.
