Larry Lee Shaw was born November 28, 1940 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Chester Merrill and Ruth Eleanor (Chamberlain) Shaw and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 23, 2012 at the age of 72 years, 25 days. Larry attended Pleasant Dale Elementary School and was a 1958 graduate of Milford High School. He attended NE Vocational Technical School (now Southeast Community College-Milford) graduating in 1960 and then was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Larry was united in marriage to Jan Loe Harder on June 3, 1960 and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Jeff and Craig. Larry worked for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and then as a military contractor for the United States in Oklahoma and Georgia. Larry began as an instructor at SCC in electronics and became Milford Campus Director in 1996, retiring in 2003. Larry was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, where he served on the church board. Other memberships and service include the Milford City Council for 12 years; Milford Chamber of Commerce, Milford Midget football and the Pleasant Dale Coop Board. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruth Eleanor Shaw; his sister, Sally Peterson and his brother, Doug Shaw Family members who will cherish Larry's memory include his wife, Jan Shaw, Pleasant Dale; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Robin Shaw, Little River, KS, Craig and Cindy Shaw, Pleasant Dale; grandchildren, Renae and Josh Littrell, Jered and Elisabeth Shaw, Jacob and Brittany Shaw, Brittni Shaw, Bradyn Shaw, Grant Shaw; step-grandsons, Mitchell Conklin and Jayce Conklin; great-grandsons, Cooper Littrell and Maximus Littrell and a host of friends.
