Lauris O. Olson was born September 22, 1925 at LaMoure, North Dakota to Andrew and Mamie Agnetta (Barsten) Olson and passed away on February 22, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Larry was a 1943 graduate of Wahpeton, North Dakota High School; he served in the U.S. Army from July 1950 to November 1952. Larry lived in Colorado from 1955 to 1990 where he worked for Gambles, Inc. Larry was united in marriage to Marjorie E. Hart in 1970 at Empire, Colorado. They moved to Seward, Nebraska in 1990 and Larry was employed with Memorial Health Care Systems for four years and was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church. In 2008, Larry and Marjorie moved back to Colorado to be closer to family. Larry is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Englewood, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lynn Olson of Broomfield, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Randi and Randy Shelby of Littleton, CO and Ruth and Lee Ruby of Lakewood, CO; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Cindy Olson of Centennial, CO; nieces, nephews and cousins. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Larry. |
