LaVerne W. (Haase) Dankers was born November 9, 1919 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Otto and Marie (Baack) Haase and passed away on July 19, 2006 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 8 months, 10 days. LaVerne was a 1938 graduate of Lincoln High School. On February 17, 1946, LaVerne was united in marriage to Elmer William Dankers at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln. LaVerne was a farm wife and mother. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Pleasant Dale and also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Pleasant Dale and Peppy Dames Extension Club. LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Marie Haase; her husband, Elmer Dankers, in 1998; an infant son, Stephen Dankers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lueda and Arthur Piening; brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Corthaleen Haase; nephew, Lyle Piening; mother-in-law, Louise M. Dankers. LaVerne is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald Dankers, Pleasant Dale, Harlan and Kim Dankers, Pleasant Dale; three grandsons, Jeff, Mike and Nick Dankers; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Joanne Haase, Redding, California; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with LaVerne. |
