Lawilda Elise Emilie Bertha (Mueller) Fosler was born to John and Martha (Schroeder) Mueller on April 20, 1921 in Seward County, Nebraska and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on September 15, 2006 at the age of 85 years, 4 months, 25 days. She was baptized May 8, 1921 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marysville, Nebraska by Pastor W. F. Rittamel. She attended school at Zion Lutheran parochial school at Marysville and was confirmed May 26, 1935 at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor F. Bangert. In 1939, Lawilda transferred her membership to St. John Lutheran Church in Seward and has been a member there since. She was also a member of St. John Ladies Aid, a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 4755 and she was a former 4-H leader. Lawilda was united in marriage to Wayne Fosler on August 22, 1942 by Pastor I.C. Heinicke of Seward. Wayne and Lawilda farmed northeast of Milford for 41 years and then moved to Seward in 1983.
Lawilda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gene Wehrbein of Louisville, Linda and Jake Johnson of Hastings, and son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cindi Fosler of Seward; her grandchildren and spouses, Troy and Erin Wehrbein of Plattsmouth, Kelly and Amy Johnson of Grand Island, Rachael (Johnson) and Rusty Kemp of Tryon, Kimberly (Wehrbein) Ceballos of Lincoln, Ashley Fosler of Seward, Ryan Fosler of Niskayuna, New York and Trevor Fosler of Seward; her great-grandchildren, Garret and Walker Johnson, Khobi Ceballos, Jacque Johnson, Kaitlyn Ceballos, Lauren Wehrbein and Cash Kemp; sister-in-law, Eleanor Vogt of Seward and a host of relatives and friends.

Lawilda was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Fosler; her parents, John and Martha Mueller; her brother, Chris Mueller and her sister, Lydia Peters. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Lawilda.
