LeAnn Marie (Leonard) Grigsby was born March 16, 1957 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Joe Ross and Elsie Judith (Gipson) Leonard and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 13, 2008 at the age of 51 years, 28 days. LeAnn was a 1975 graduate of Bassett High School and received a degree in accounting from Kearney State College. She was a former employee of Brown Transfer in Kearney and a secretary for the sale barn in Bassett. LeAnn moved to Seward in the mid-1980's. She was an accountant for Milford Feed Yard and a receptionist for Star Tran in Lincoln. On December 29, 1990, LeAnn was united in marriage to Thomas James Grigsby in Bassett, Nebraska. They lived all of their married life in Seward. LeAnn loved stamping parties with her lady friends, watching football games, Chinese food on Wednesday night and their cats, Pearl and Rufus and their dog, Ozzie Bear. LeAnn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Thelma Leonard and Leonard and Ethabel Gipson and her father-in-law, John P. Grigsby. LeAnn is survived by her husband, Tom Grigsby of Seward; her parents, Joe R. and Elsie Leonard of Bassett; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Leonard III and Christi of Bassett and David and Carol Leonard of Valentine; her nieces and nephews, Logan Leonard, Chelsey Leonard, Kaylee Leonard, Nichole Leonard, Garrett Leonard, Mackenzie Leonard and Bailey Leonard; her grand nephew, Kip Leonard; her mother-in-law, Goldie Grigsby of Seward; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Donald and Judith Grigsby of Columbus, Georgia and Dale Nigel Grigsby of Minneapolis, Minnesota; niece, Rebecca and Randy Banks and nephew, Eric and Christi Grigsby; great aunt, Wini Parker of Bassett and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with LeAnn. |
