Obituary

LeRoy Tergot Higgins was born on January 25, 1960, to Lee Roy Higgins and Erlinda A. Tergot in Subic Bay, Philippines and passed away on May 30, 2012 at his residence in Seward at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 5 days. LeRoy's family moved to the United States in 1961 where he attended elementary school in California. The family then moved to Lincoln in 1973, for a short time before settling in Seward where he attended Jr. High and High School. After school he worked at Walker's and also joined the National Guard in 1978. He was discharged in 1990. LeRoy was a Kawasaki employee the last 6 years. LeRoy enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and shooting guns, he also loved his children, grandchildren, friends and he was also very spiritual. LeRoy was preceded in death by his father Lee Roy Higgins and grandpa LaVern Earnest. LeRoy is survived by four sons, Cory Higgins and wife Brandy of Lincoln, NE; Tylor Higgins and wife Pam of Seward, NE; Nolan Higgins and wife Teri of Lincoln, NE; Devin Higgins of Seward, NE; one daughter, Whisper Higgins of Seward, NE; five grandchildren, Wesley, Alex, Danny, Tara, Kennedie, four step grandchildren, Alex, Bradly, Bianca and Eternity, his mother and step father, Linda and Ben Earnest of Seward, NE; grandma Dorothy Earnest of Seward, NE; three sisters, Dora Bianco of Seward, NE; Angelina Pangilinan of Dallas, TX; and Kay Stewart of Gulfport, MS; one brother, John Higgins of Gainsville, TX; seven nephews, Antonio of Milford, NE; Allan of Ft. Campbell, KY; Jonathan of Omaha, NE; James of Seward, NE; Sean of Ashland, NE; Grady Mountain View, AR; Marvin of Los Angeles, CA; three nieces Marilyn of Dallas TX; Mallary of Omaha, NE; Janee of Seward, NE; four great nieces, T.K. and Angellina of Seward, NE; Harper of Omaha, NE; Sierra of Ft. Hood, TX; four great nephews, Alex of Ft. Hood, TX; Jesse of Humble TX; Aiden of Ashland NE; and Andre of Seward, NE. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Peoples City Mission. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with LeRoy.
