Linda Marie Kriz was born on February 19, 2003, in Lincoln, Nebraska and passed away on October 22, 2023, in Brainard, Nebraska at the age of 20 years, 8 months and 3 days. Linda was in foster care for the first eight years of her life. She was adopted on May 26, 2011, by Terry and Shelly (Vyhlidal) Kriz. Her mom courageously battled cancer and went to her heavenly home on December 14, 2012.

Linda attended East Butler High School and graduated with the Class of 2021. She was known for her high-pitched voice and her infectious laugh, which her sister, Millie, often made fun of her for. Linda had a deep passion for all animals, especially her cat, Pheobe, and she enjoyed her involvement in 4-H. She absolutely loved her job as a para at Bellwood Elementary School in the preschool classroom and found so much joy in her students and co-workers. In her free time, Linda enjoyed gaming and meeting new people. She was often known for her independence and being a homebody. Linda spent a lot of time with her cousin, Reagan. She loved her family very much and would do anything for them. Linda was especially close and had a deep love for her dad.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Shelly Kriz and grandpa, Milo Vanis.
