Lloyd Arthur Brown, 86, of Seward, NE; formerly of Blair and Kennard, NE; passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Ridgewood Rehab & Care Center in Seward following a lengthy illness. Lloyd was born on February 20, 1925 in Blair, NE to Arthur James and Gladys Naomi (Taylor) Brown. He grew up in Blair, NE; where is attended school. Lloyd enlisted into the United States Army on October 9, 1945. He served in Germany, France, Italy and Korea. Lloyd was honorably discharged on March 16, 1947. Upon his discharge, he returned to the Blair area where he worked for local farmers. He was also a diesel mechanic where he worked on trucks and heavy equipment. Lloyd is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Orpha N. and George N. Wolf of Valparaiso, NE; son, Ron L. Brown of Oklahoma, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Treva K. and Chad Kempe, Great granddaughter, Aryn N. Sullivan, several step children, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, sister, Vera Ratfield of Seward, NE. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth A. Brown, second wife Mary Ann Brown, his parents, 2 brothers, Garold and James Brown, one sister, Ardith Whittington, 2 stepsons, Kenneth Albers and Billy Dean Albers, 1 step daughter, Adeline J. Jinks and brother-in-law, Melvin Ratfield. |
