Lola L. Welch was born February 7, 1938 in Seward, Nebraska to Norman Olston and Ruth Lloyd and passed away on December 2, 2005 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 23 days. She attended school in Goehner and Seward High School. Lola married Victor Welch on July 17, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas. To this union two children were born, Vicki and Ronald. She worked as a secretary for the Civil Service in San Antonio, Texas and moved back to the Goehner area in 1971. Lola was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner, the Womens Fellowship Group and Goehner Grange. Preceding Lola in death were her father, Norman Olston and her husband, Victor. Lola is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Brian Blackwell, Goehner, NE son, Ronald Welch, Goehner, NE, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; mother, Ruth Lloyd, Lincoln; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Sumiko Olston, Colorado Springs, CO, Melvin and Dorothy Olston, Chapman, NE, James and Norma Olston, Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Rosana and Jerry Garrett, Naylor, MO; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and spouse, Martha Jane and Robert Dumpert, Exeter, LaVerne Pixie Welch, Seward.
