Lorene Krusemark Harre at the age 105 died on Feb. 7, 2017. Funeral service will be held on Sat., Feb., 11, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran, 7500 Oak Ave, Kansas City, MO at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born to Wilhelmina Schaefer Krusemark and John Krusemark of Atchison, KS on Dec. 20, 1911. After graduation from high school, she attended Mount St, Scholastica College in Atchison, KS for two years majoring in business. In 1936 she married The Reverend Elmer Harre and they had two children, Janyce and Richard. When her husband retired as an Army Chaplain in the early fifties, the family moved to Kansas City. After settling in Kansas City, she assisted her husband in his ministry by playing the piano for his many services. She was active in her church, Calvary Lutheran, and the LWML. She actively supported her children in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She was active in the local Republican Party and serviced as an election judge for many years. Later in life her painting projects brought her pleasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister.
She leaves her daughter Janyce Allen McMahon and her husband Col. Richard McMahon, USAF (Ret.), Overland Park, KS; her son, The Reverend Richard Harre and his wife Fay, Seward, NE; grandson, Todd Allen and his wife Beth; her step great-granddaughter, Nicole and her children, Olivia, Aidyn, John and Landon; and three step grandsons and their families. She leaves a sister-in-law Lillian Krusemark and her children. She also leaves two God-children Rita Krusemark and Phil Crawley, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
