Loretta Ann (Gottberg) Steyer Zitek was born July 28, 1925 in Weston, Nebraska the daughter of Albert and Mary (Spicka) Gottberg and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 1, 2014 at the age of 88 years, 10 months, 4 days. Loretta was a 1943 graduate of Weston High School. On May 13, 1950, Loretta was united in marriage to Charles Steyer and their marriage was blessed with four children. Charles passed away in 1969 and Loretta married to Edwin Zitek on November 26, 1972, Edwin passed away in 2001. Loretta attended St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Weston and Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. Loretta was a homemaker. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Gottberg; her husbands, Charles Steyer and Edwin Zitek; siblings and spouses, Alberta and John Petrzelka, Sr., Betty and Ernest Churda, Gilbert Gottberg and stepson, Ed Zitek, Jr. Loretta is survived by her children, Michael Steyer, Raymond, Lynn Steyer, Lincoln, Craig Steyer, Raymond, Mary and Wayne Urbanec, Raymond; three grandchildren, Ember Shumack, Lacey Tlamka, Jeremy Tlamka and Khryssy; two great grandchildren, Malique Wells, Owen Bluford; stepchildren, Pat Hlevyack, Bob Hlevyack, Debbie and Bert Nelson, all Omaha; step-grandchild, Joey Hlevyack, Omaha; step-great grandchild, Hope Brusso; sisters, Opal Rezac, Wahoo and Marlene Gaylord, Weston; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
