Louis Joseph Sedlak was born January 30, 1923 near Bee, Nebraska to Louis A. and Agnes Lucille (Hamata) Sedlak and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 28, 2007 at the age of 84 years, 9 months, 29 days. Louis attended Bee High School. He lived all of his life on the family farm two miles West and mile North of Bee where he farmed. On June 28, 1969, Louis was united in marriage to Anne Lodl at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Valparaiso, Nebraska. Louis was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. He loved polka music and the Lawrence Welk Orchestra; he played the clarinet with his father at local events and also enjoyed dancing and his favorite television program, Gun Smoke. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis A. and Agnes L. Sedlak; his sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Dennis Pavel; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Adella and Frank Yonda; brother-in-law, Frank Helman and one great nephew. Louis is survived by his wife, Anne Sedlak of Bee; his nephew, Duane Pavel and his wife, Kyle of Rockport, MO; nieces and their spouses, Sharon and Gary Trofholz and Judy and Dean Foltz, all of Columbus; niece, Marlene Smith of Lake Mary, FL; nephew, David Yonda and wife, Kathi of Octavia; 18 great-nieces and nephews; 30 great-great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Angela Helman of Brainard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ramona Lodl of Ventura, CA; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Louis. |
