Lucille Lillian (Brym) Peters was born May 19, 1935 in Bee, Nebraska and passed away at her home in Seward, Nebraska on June 5, 2009 at the age of 74 years and 17 days. Lucille was raised by her grandmother after her mother passed away during childbirth. She attended school in Dwight and Ulysses, graduating from Ulysses High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Paul Raymond Peters at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses, Nebraska on January 11, 1958. To this union three children were blessed. Lucille and Paul celebrated 51 years of marriage this past January. Lucille was a rural school teacher, did clerical work at Concordia College and Hughes Brothers, worked as an aid in the medical office of Dr. Richard Pitsch and was also employed by the Seward Public Schools in the cafeteria. Lucille most recently worked for Heartland Park Retirement Home until she was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in November of 2008. Lucille was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Catholic church where she was active in PCCW. Lucille is survived her husband, Paul R. Peters of Seward; daughters & sons-in-law, Julie and Gary Schaefer of Seward, Delores and Mark Pflueger of Staplehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sharon Peters of Clive, Iowa; grandsons, Matt & Jason Schaefer, Nate and Austin Pflueger; sister-in-laws, Virginia Brockevelt, Dorothy Zegers, Christine Kozisek, Nellie Brockeveldt and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie and Joe Kozisek; brothers-in-law, Bill Peters and John Peters and his wife Norma Jean Peters; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Lucille. |
