Obituary

Lucille Babetta Schulz was born on August 31, 1922 in Wheaton, Minnesota to William and Anna (Kassahn) Boehmlehner and passed away on April 5, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 7 months, and 5 days. Lucille was baptized on September 20, 1922 and confirmed on April 13, 1937 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. Lucille married Alfred Schulz on September 15, 1945, in Wheaton, Minnesota after his transfer back from the Pacific Atolls during W.W. II. They spent their first three years of marriage farming near Wisner, Nebraska and lived two years at Huskerville, near Lincoln before moving to their farm in the Malcolm, Nebraska area in 1951. Lucille was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was the Sunday school superintendent for twenty-five years and was an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was the AAL secretary for the Malcolm/Pleasant Dale branch for 20 years. She also belonged to the H.E.O. Extension Club. In 1981, she became a charter member of the Missouri Valley Wrench Club and was the editor of the club's quarterly newsletter for 10 years. Lucille and Alfred wrote and published a resource/reference book "Antique and Unusual Wrenches" which was sold coast to coast as well as internationally. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; parents; step-mother Minnie (Sieck) Boehmlehner; sister, Jeanette Boehmlehner and great-grandson, Matthew Miller. She is survived by children; Stanley and Grace (Loschen) Schulz of York, Nebraska; LeMoyne and Marlene (Nissen-Wassenmiller) Schulz of Lincoln, Nebraska and Barbara and Jon Schuknecht of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters Margaret (Floyd) Rodmyre of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Bernice Harms of Beaumont, California; 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
