Lucille "Fran" Steinheider 94 years 9/18/1916 - 8/12/2011 York, NE - Seward, NE Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Friedens United Church of Christ Goehner, NE Rev. Lucille M. (Francies) Steinheider was born September 18, 1916 in York, Nebraska to Arthur H. and Beulah L. (Smith) Francies and passed away on August 12, 2011 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 94 years, 10 months, 24 days. Fran was a graduate of York High School; she attended York College, Kearney State and taught school for several years. On August 6, 1940, Fran was united in marriage to Frederick Erl Steinheider in York, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Ann, John and Jean. Fran was a longtime member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner; she was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter CC in Seward, Magazine Club, Questers and several bridge groups. Fran is preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1996; her parents; grandson, Ryan Lamberty and her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Naomi Francies. Survivors include her children, Ann Lamberty, Lincoln, John Steinheider, Omaha, Jean and Dr. Gene Herbek, Omaha; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Roth, Becky Kempke, Garrod Lamberty, Matthew Steinheider, Anne Jackson, Jill Steinheider, Sara Herbek and Emily Herbek; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Fran. |
