Lucille Jeanne (Urbanek) Wondra was born on February 24, 1941 in D Precinct, Seward County, Nebraska to Ivan William and Anna Bessie (Stanek) Urbanek and passed away on October 14, 2009 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 7 months, 18 days. Lucille attended Country School District 43 in Seward County and was a 1958 graduate of Ulysses High School. On June 17, 1961, Lucille was united in marriage to James D. Wondra. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Dan and Bob. They lived all of their married life in the same house in Staplehurst. Lucille was employed with Sundermann Home in Seward from 1984-1991 and with the School District of Seward from 1991-2009. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar Society in Ulysses.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan W. and Anna B. Urbanek; her brother and sister-in-law, Adolph and Mildred Urbanek; sister-in-law, Louise Urbanek and parents-in-law, George and Audrey Wondra.
Lucille is survived by her husband, James D. Wondra, Staplehurst; sons, Dan Wondra, LaVista and Bob Wondra and fianc, Christine Wilson, Papillion; three grandchildren, Lauren Wondra, Erik Wondra and Reid Wondra; siblings and spouses, Ray and Helen Urbanek, Columbus, Rose and Edgar Stilwell, Lincoln, Marcie and Jim Sklenar, David City, Mildred and Joe Solis, Crossville, TN, Irene Humrick, Scottsdale, AZ, Beatrice and Jim Headrick, North Port, AL, Bernard and Phyllis Urbanek, Lotus Grove, GA, Emil and Kathy Urbanek and Joe and Barb Urbanek, all of Ulysses; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Marilyn Wondra, Columbus and David Wondra, Minden; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Lucille.
