Marcella Othila (Masek) Sanley was born January 13, 1927 in David City, Nebraska to John and Rosa (Fucik) Masek and passed away in Milford, Nebraska on November 16, 2012 at the age of 85 years, 10 months, 3 days. Marcella was raised on a farm outside Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1945. She then worked at Johnny's Café in Omaha. On June 4, 1946, Marcella was united in marriage to Richard D. Sanley and they lived most of their married life in Ulysses. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Daniel, John, Randy and Tina. Sally was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar Society in Ulysses. Sally had many lovesChicago Cubs baseball, being "dressed up", praying and a great love for her family. Sally is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosa Masek; her husband, Richard D. "Dick" Sanley in 2010; her siblings, John Masek, Martin Masek, Fred Masek, Agnes Masek, Alice Bieker, and Mary Seidenglanz. Sally is survived by her children and spouses, Daniel Sanley of LaMesa, CA, John and Theresa Sanley of Omaha, Randy "Chuck" and Pat Sanley of Seward, Tina Duffek of Sioux Falls, SD; eight grandchildren, Dr. Michael Sanley, Christine Sanley, Liz Sanley, Dr. Benjamin and Leanne Sanley, Dr. Brian and Jill Sanley, Tony and Kelly Duffek, Stazy Duffek, Drew Duffek; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan Sanley, Alexander Sanley, Cameron Sanley, William Sanley, Maddison Sanley, McKena Duffek and Owen Duffek; her sister, Helen Janak of Bellevue; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
