Margaret Helen (Cochrane) Douglas was born January 21, 1937 in Milford, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Helen (Darling) Cochrane. Margaret passed away on September 12, 2013 in Ashland, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, 7 months, 22 days. She lived most of her life in the Bethany and Havelock areas of Lincoln and was a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School. Margaret's life was blessed with three sons, Steven, Michael, and Eric. Throughout her life she enjoyed working with and helping other people. She was employed as a teacher s aide, a desk clerk at the original Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln and her love of sewing led her to making clothing and her employment as a seamstress at the Havelock Salvage Center, with Williams Cleaners and doing mending for other people. Margaret loved reading mystery novels and doing needle point. For those in need of a home, her door was always open. Margaret is preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Helen Cochrane; her sons, Michael J. Douglas and Steven B. Douglas and an infant sister. Those left to cherish Margaret's memory include her son, Eric Douglas, Lincoln; her daughter-in-law, Jacy L. Douglas, Seward; grandchildren, Krista M. Douglas, Lincoln, Matthew J. Douglas, Lincoln, John L. Douglas, Chicago, IL, Jessica L. Schauer, Seward, Jennifer A. Erks, Seward; great-grandchildren, Dietrich, Connor, Dailyn, Savannah, Maleah and Jaxon; foster children, Michael Richmand, Lincoln, Bobi LoBrillo, Lincoln, many more foster children and a host of friends.
