Margaret Ann (Blacker) Miiller was born January 4, 1927, in Seward, Nebraska, to Clyde L. And Marie S. (Manke) Blacker and passed away in Seward, Nebraska, on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, 26 days. Ann grew up at the Water Gardens in Beaver Crossing. Her love of flowers and frogs began there. She enjoyed sharing stories and pictures from those years. She was a 1945 graduate of Beaver Crossing High School. Ann was united in marriage to Walter Henry Miiller on November 16, 1947, in Seward, Nebraska. Ann and Walt spent their married life farming. Besides raising five children, she could be found helping outside, preparing meals, running errands, caring for aging family members, volunteering at church, and taking food to the field. Ann inherited her love for sewing from her mother. Through the years she not only made clothing for her children, but was a member of sewing groups that sent items to less fortunate children. Many friends received her rice bags in later years. Her sewing room was always full of future projects. The grandchildren looked forward to getting one of her cross-stitched blankets for their babies. Ann's greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Stores about them were shared with everyone she met. Ann was a member of Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward, and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 178 in Beaver Crossing. Ann was active in United Methodist Women; she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, 4-H leader, Awana helper and active with N Homemakers, an extension group and did sewing for the White Cross Mission Group. Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Miiller in 1996; her brothers, Victor and Richard and her sisters, Harriet and Velma. Ann is survived by her children and spouses, Phillip and Nancy Miiller, Beaver Crossing, Barbara and Lynn Naber, Kearney, Gail and Roger Hanseling, Seward, Carol and Randy Reddekopp, Lincoln, Jay and Sonia Miiller, Kalona, IA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, June and Bob Smith, Overland Park, KS; cousins; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Ann.
