Margaret Marie VanDerslice was born on March 3, 1919 in Rock, Kansas to Reuben M. and Minnie Alice (Newman) Magnuson and passed away on April 19, 2007 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 1 month, 16 days. She was a high school graduate. On May 29, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage to Karl S. VanDerslice in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union eleven children were born. Margaret was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Minnie Magnuson; her husband, Karl VanDerslice, in 1997; her daughter, Linda VanDerslice in 2002; and her great-grandson, Robbie. Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses, Marilyn Hill of Phoenix, AZ, Karen and Laurice Washington of San Francisco, CA, Paul and Janice VanDerslice of Seward, Barbara and Ned Dominguez of Lincoln, Robert and Margie VanDerslice of Lincoln, Kenneth and Carol VanDerslice of Bee, Karl VanDerslice, Jr. of Lincoln, Richard and Diane VanDerslice of Dwight, Andrew and Sherry VanDerslice of Lincoln, Dennis and Amy VanDerslice of Lincoln; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy Stull of Alliance, NE and Frances and Dick Joseph of Vancouver, WA; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stanley J. and Ramona VanDerslice of Lincoln, Janette VanDerslice of Lincoln; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Margaret. |
