Margaret Louise (Stilwell) Watson was born October 8, 1920 in Ansley, Nebraska to George Riley and Ollie (Totten) Stilwell and passed away on January 8, 2009 in Utica, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 3 months. Margaret attended school in Ansley and Tamora. On April 5, 1939, she was united in marriage to Burdette Elmer Watson in Seward. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Charles, Joan, Virgil and Charlotte. Margaret and Burdette moved to Staplehurst in 1963. Margaret was a former employee of Hulbert's Grill, Goldsmith Nursing Home and East Hill Motel, all in Seward. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, George R. and Ollie Stilwell; her husband, Burdette in 1999, her son, Virgil Watson; granddaughter, Sherry Watson; great-grandson, Trent Walker; great-great-granddaughter, Harmony Hildebrand; three brothers, Marvin, Robert and Ralph Stilwell. Margaret is survived by her son, Charles Watson, Staplehurst, daughters, Joan Machacek, Beaver Crossing and Charlotte and her husband, Carl Markee of Necedah, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Linda Watson, Utica; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Rose Stilwell, Lincoln; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Margaret. |
