Marie Rose (Svoboda) Hartman was born August 1, 1923, rural Bee, Nebraska to Edward Fred and Antonia Ann (Dvorak) Svoboda and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on December 15, 2010 at the age of 87 years, 4 months, 14 days. Marie attended Bee Country School Romine School #68 and was a 1939 graduate of Bee High School. She was employed with Jerpe Commission Company (egg and poultry). On September 9, 1946, Marie was united in marriage to Henry Richard Hartman in Seward. Marie was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and PCCW; VFW No. 4755 Auxiliary and was the owner of Hartman File Shop in Seward. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Antonia Svoboda; her nephew, Edward A. Svoboda; her brother, Matej "Mike" Svoboda; sister-in-law, Rosella F. Svoboda; sister and brother-in-law, Antoinette "Tonie" and Frank Hraban. Survivors include her daughter, Darlene "Dar" Orth of Lincoln; two grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Aaron Haney and Jason and Amy Orth, all of Lincoln; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Haney, Gavin Haney, Stephen Orth; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Leona Svoboda of Seward; sister-in-law, Delores Svoboda of Seward; seven nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Marie. |
