Obituary

Marie M. Hottovy was born on August 6, 1922, in Bee, NE to Joseph and Clara (Hottovy) Pavel and passed away on July 14, 2017, in David City, NE at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 8 days. Marie attended and graduated from Assumption High School in Dwight. On May 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Alois J. Hottovy at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Utica. To this union four children were born. The couple farmed for many years in the Brainard and Dwight area.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alois (2007), her sons, Michael and Jerome "Jerry" Hottovy; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hottovy; great granddaughter, Anna Rose Prochaska; sisters, Anne and husband Leo Rau, Margaret and husband Adolph Spatz; brothers, Joseph Pavel, Jr., and Raymond and wife Evelyn Pavel; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Klein and Anthony DiPaolo.

Survived by sister, Angie Klein, Colorado, Leona DiPaolo of Lincoln, Nebraska and Marcie and Husband Don Stava of Prague, Nebraska. Survivors include daughter-in-law, Ruth Hottovy of Brainard, and her family, Bill Hottovy of Brainard, Dean Hottovy of Dwight and Krista and Paul Prochaska of Wahoo, and 2 great grandchildren; son and daughter-in-law, Alois and Clete Hottovy of Omaha and their family, Tina and Shawn Casper, Dawn and Mike Danley and Joy and Tim Willoughby, all of Omaha, and five great grandchildren; son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Yvonne Hottovy of Lincoln and their family, Father Jamie Hottovy of St Teresa Parish in Lincoln, Zachary Hottovy of Lincoln, Brian and Janine Hottovy of Seattle WA and Mark and Casandra Hottovy of Lincoln, and four great grandchildren.
