Rosary 7:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2008 at Wood-Zabka Funeral Home in Seward, NE VISITATION Noon to 8:30 PM on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Wood-Zabka Funeral Home and one hour prior to Mass at the Church. Marie Veronica Kotera was born February 4, 1918 on a farm near Dwight to Anton & Anna Policky Sr. and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on January 4, 2008 at the age of 89 years, months, 19 days. Marie attended country school and Dwight Assumption High School. She was united in marriage to Louis F. Kotera on September 27, 1938 in Dwight and they where blessed with eight children. Marie and Louis farmed in several locations before moving to Bee, where they lived for 52 years. Marie was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Bee Altar Society. She worked at Dale's, The Dandy Lion & Lou and Mary Ann's. Marie will be remembered for her sweet loving nature, her ability as an outstanding cook, her creative skills, and her love of gardening and flowers. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Clodie Slavek, Ann Vrbski & Julia Eichmer; brothers, Charlie, Jim, Tony and Leo Policky. Marie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Louis Kotera of Seward; daughters & sons-in-law, Geraldine & Leroy Policky of Green Valley, AZ; daughter & son-in-law, Barbara & Ron German of Roca, NE; son & daughter-in-law, Ray & Joann Kotera of Surprise, AZ; son & daughter-in-law, Al & Susan Kotera of Lincoln; son & daughter-in-law, Rick & Jeanette Kotera of Elgin, IL; son & daughter-in-law, Clarence 'Chuck' & Susan Kotera of Seward; son & daughter-in-law, Jerome & Lynnette Kotera of Wahoo; son & daughter-in-law, Bernard & Linda Kotera of Huntley, IL; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
