Marie Teresa Tlamka was born on May 12, 1927, in David City, Nebraska, the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Matejcek) Tlamka and passed away on March 31, 2024, in David City, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 19 days.

Marie grew up in Dwight where she attended and graduated from Dwight Assumption Catholic School with the Class of 1945. After receiving her teaching training, Marie taught school at District 95, south of David City for several years. She later taught at Dwight Public School for many years. Marie loved working in her flower garden, baking, especially kolaches, and helping with funeral dinners and the Dwight Czech Festival. She was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Tlamka; brothers, Frank and Laddie Tlamka; two sisters, Rose Policky and Libbie Policky; several nephews.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her nieces and nephews, Alan Policky, Bee, Jim Policky, Bee, Diane Palmer, Seward, Judy Policky, Lincoln, Joe Policky, Lincoln, Patti Kozisek, Garland, Susan, Lincoln, Phyllis, Lincoln, Paul Tlamka, Lincoln, Dale Tlamka, Lincoln, Jerry Tlamka, Lincoln; several great-nephews and great-nieces and great great-nieces and nephews.
