Marilyn Doris (Krieser) Pethoud was born May 4, 1937 in Seward County, Nebraska to Walter and Frieda (Wagenknecht) Krieser and passed away on June 14, 2006 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 1 month, 10 days. Marilyn was baptized into Christ on May 23, 1937 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Seward, Nebraska and she was confirmed on March 18, 1951 at Zion Lutheran Church, Garland, Nebraska. Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Garland High School. On September 4, 1959, Rev. Marvin Kuhlman of Immanuel Lutheran Church united Marilyn in marriage to Robert Stanley Pethoud, at the home of her parents. Marilyn was employed with State Farm Insurance for 20 years and for Continental Western Insurance for 23 years. She retired from her underwriting position at Continental Western on January 31, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Frieda Krieser; her husband, Robert Bob Pethoud in 1997; her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Barbara Krieser; sister-in-law, Karen Krieser and nephew, Steven Krieser. Marilyn is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Betty Jean BJ Krieser, Tulsa, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale and Donna Pethoud, Lincoln, Charles and Rose Mary Pethoud, Rogers, AR, John Meligan, Lincoln; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Rex Brown, San Bernardino, CA and Betty Robison, Friend; nephews, Mike Krieser, Lincoln and Kevin Krieser, Lawton, OK; nieces and spouses, Angela and Darin Reinke, Lincoln, Karla and Randy Fletcher, Tulsa, OK; great nieces, Laura and Cassie Krieser and Jaden Reinke; great nephew, Tyler Reinke; aunts and cousins; stepdaughter and spouse, Bobette and Steve Brackett, Yuba City, CA; 5 step grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
