Marion Ernest Janak was born on August 20, 1943, in David City, NE; to Ernest and Olga (Svoboda) Janak and passed away on October 28, 2013, in Omaha, NE; at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 8 days. He grew up in the Brainard area where he attended school. Marion was a farmer and also ran the maintainer for Plum Creek Township. He enjoyed raising livestock and all different animals. He liked camping, fishing, going to figure eights and working on his pickup. He liked watching Duck Dynasty, and the old Red and Green Show. His greatest joy was being a "Grandpa" and visiting with his family and friends. Marion is survived by his wife Tammy of Dwight, children Sandy Stanek and husband Brad of Weston, NE; Dan Janak and fiancé Kara Miller of Seward, NE; and Sheri Pence and Nate Verkamp of Lincoln, NE; seven grandchildren, his mother Olga Janak, sisters and brothers-in-law Loretta Jelinek and husband DeRoyce of Seward, NE; Rosie Hladky and husband John of Stuart, NE; Bernie Frohner and husband Bill of Wahoo, NE; and Phyllis Karpisek and husband Dave of Surprise, NE; and brother Larry and wife Lori Janak of David City, NE; mother-in-law and father-in-law Kenneth & Wanda Pence of Malcolm, NE; grandmother-in-law Fern Peet of Malcolm, NE; brother-in-law and wife Kenny Pence and wife Angie of Seward, NE; and sister-in-law and husband Marcy Rasmussen and husband Roy of Oklahoma City, OK. Marion was preceded in death by his infant daughter Mary Janak and father Ernest Janak.
