Marjorie Fern (Edwards) Harvey Bratton was born March 25, 1918 in Ulysses, Nebraska to Guthrie Watson and Harriett Elizabeth (Andrew) Edwards and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on January 29, 2007 at the age of 88 years, 10 months, 4 days. Marjorie graduated from Ulysses High School in 1937. On November 1, 1938 she was united in marriage to Richard Lee Harvey at David City, Nebraska and to this union two children were born, Janet and Don. Together they began a life of farming west of Ulysses until Richard's death in January of 1967 at which time Marjorie moved to Ulysses. She was a member of the Ulysses Christian Church and in addition to her busy family life she enjoyed watching sports, especially the University of Nebraska football games. Since October 1, 1999, Marjorie had made her home at Anna Sundermann Home in Seward. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harvey; her granddaughter, Angela Leigh Otto, her parents, Guthrie and Harriett Edwards; her sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Leonard Cordes; brother, Villrie Edwards; sister-in-law, Margery Edwards. Marjorie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and James Otto of Spirit Lake, Iowa and son and daughter-in-law, Don and Ginny Harvey of Lincoln; four grandchildren and their spouses, Julie and David McAdon, David and Jen Otto, Douglas and Jennifer Otto and Kim and Larry Duncan; four great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Burdette and Thulla Edwards of Ulysses and numerous nieces and nephews. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Marjorie. |
