Mark Allen Bohnenstingl was born September 16, 1950 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Allen and Clara (Beckman) Bohnenstingl and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 5, 2016 at the age of 65 years, 4 months, 20 days. Mark was a 1968 graduate of Wheaton High School. On September 25, 1971, Mark was united in marriage to Eberta Wallen at Pius X Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Andrew.
Mark was employed for 30 plus years with Consolidated Kitchens and Fireplaces where he was dedicated to his clients and earned the distinction of Salesman of the Year in 1994.
Mark's memberships included St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Seward, St. Vincent de Paul Council No. 8469 Knights of Columbus, Independent Lumber Dealers Association, Seward Country Club.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and golf. Mark was pleased to have a "Hole in One" at the Pines at Grandview Nisswa. Mark's great joy was spending time with his beautiful grandson, Anderson, who was the light of his life. Mark dreamed of taking Anderson hunting and fishing. Providing a steak or prime rib feast complete with his world famous bruschetta and fruit salad brought Mark great pleasure. He fought crab grass in his yard for a perfect lawn and spent endless hours every weekend working in his vegetable and flower gardens; being particularly proud of his lily garden.
Preceding Mark in death were his father, Allen Bohnenstingl; his sister, Kathy Caughey and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bert, Seward; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Heather Bohnenstingl, Lincoln; grandson, Anderson; mother, Clara (Mickey) Schuster, Brainerd, MN; sisters, Becky Looker of Miltona, MN, Angela (Arlo) Stange, Dalton, MN, Vicki (Bryan) Alpaugh, Hastings, MN, Barbara (Jim) Kremer, St. Louis Park, MN; brothers, Tom Bohnenstingl, Hanley Falls, MN, Mike (Becky) Bohnenstingl, Baxter, MN, Joel (Kimberly) Bohnenstingl, Elk River, MN, Chad (Glynis) Bohnenstingl, Brainerd, MN; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. to this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Mark.
