Mark Hardesty was born on February 25, 1955, in Lincoln, NE to parents, Orval and Mary (Schweitzer) Hardesty and passed away on March 31, 2018, in Omaha at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 6 days . Mark attended Raymond Central High School and graduated in 1973. On May 1, 1976, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Masek; together they had 4 children. Mark worked at Tenneco, Seward Public Schools, Seward County Independent and in 2005 he started Mark's Mowing. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, former Goehner Volunteer Fire Department, a sports enthusiast and his family was the highlight and focus of his life. His knowledge of trivia and ability to remember song lyrics that could fit any situation was second to none.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Harry and Rose Masek; sister-in-law, Patricia Hardesty; brother-in-law, Leo Masek.
Mark is survived by his wife, Mary Hardesty; son, Nick (Tracy) Hardesty of Oconomowoc, WI; daughters, Megan (Russell) Dimmock of Omaha, NE, Valerie (AJ) Buresh of Dwight, NE, Monica (James) Griffin of Grain Valley, MO; grandchildren, Cameron, Colin, Caden, Cuyler and Callie Hardesty, Chase and Bryn Dimmock, Nicole, Logan, Brittney and Austin Buresh, James and Kennedy Griffin; brothers, Jack Hardesty, Larry (Mary) Hardesty, Dave (Carol) Hardesty; sister, Kathy Hardesty; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Rita Muff, Dennis and Vernie Masek, Ron and Loretta Kubik, Daniel and Debra Masek, Robert and Susan Masek; as well as many nephews and nieces.
