Marvin L. Gothier was born on November 7, 1926 in Hartington, Nebraska the son of Louie C. and Mary (McColligan) Gothier. Marvin passed away on October 6, 2017 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 10 months, 29 days. A 1944 graduate of Avoca High School, Marvin served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was united in marriage to Jean Evelyn Klein, and they were married for 60 years before her passing in 2007. Marvin retired from Cushman Motors Company, Lincoln.

Survivors: sister, Yvonne Gothier, Fulmer; children and spouses: Mary andStan Mifflin, Diana and Herb Wenant, Mike and Geri Gothier; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; special friend, Tom Shriner; the folks at Cook's Cafe; coffee group at Mahoney Golf Course; friends from Avoca High School; longtime neighbors.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Gothier; sister, Madonna Gothier Gross; nephews, Gary Gross, Steven Gross; grandsons, Jason Mifflin, Jonathan Mifflin.
