Mary was born on August 4, 1930 in Denver, CO; the daughter of Eli and Ada Lauderbaugh. She attended school and graduated from Ogallala High School and then attended the University of Iowa.
On February 24, 1951, Mary married Herbert C. Dixon in Ogallala, NE. The couple lived in Big Springs, NE; where Mr. Dixon owned a pharmacy with his father from 1953 until the family moved to Utica in 1963, where they owned and operated Dixon Drug.
Mary was a member of Utica United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, and helped with countless funeral dinners.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Fluitt and her husband Mark of Lincoln, NE; and Christine Stahr of Burnet, TX, six grandchildren, Aaron Fluitt, Michelle Fluitt, Tara Vaughn and her husband Colby, Travis Stahr and his wife Faith, Ryan Stahr and his wife Jenny, and Brianne Stahr, five great grandchildren, Kinley & Ryder Vaughn, Jeremiah and Kelsea Stahr and Carter Stahr, three sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Peterson, Sylvia Lauderbaugh and Bonnie Dixon.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Dixon on October 18, 2001, her son Michael and infant daughter, Janet Sue.
