Mary Helen (Creedan) Heser was born January 30, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Paul Leo and Winifred Evangeline (Johnson) Creedan and passed away on May 14, 2008 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 3 months, 15 days. Mary was a 1939 graduate of Beaver Crossing High School and a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing. Mary was united in marriage to Richard M. Heser on April 11, 1944 at the Catholic Church in Seward. To this union six children were born, Pat, Mike, Tom, Joanie, Rita and Mark. Mary was a nurse at the Seward Hospital and the family farmed north and west of Beaver Crossing. Mary and Dick moved into Seward in 1997. Mary was a former member and longtime organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Beaver Crossing where she was also a member of the Altar Society. Mary was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and PCCW, the Society of St. Vincent dePaul, the Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and a volunteer at Matt Talbot Kitchen in Lincoln. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Heser in 2003 and her parents, Paul L. and Winifred Creedan. Mary is survived by her children and spouses and their families: daughter, Pat and Ted Payne of Seward; son, Mike Heser of Beaver Crossing and family, Simone and Scott Vampola and children, Joseph, Noelle and Michael Vampola, Grant and Hollie Heser and children, Jacob, Nicholas and Allie Heser, and Sarah and Cain Dixon and Lillie Dixon; son, Tom Heser and special friend, Lori Hoffschnieder of York and his children, Rachel and Kelly Koenen and daughter, Taylor and Chad Heser; daughter, Joanie and Jay Peters of Lincoln and son, Jason Peters; daughter, Rita and Scott Kment of Beaver Crossing and children, Cody Dvorak, Matt and Ann Dvorak, Sidney Kment, Logan Kment; son, Mark and Kelly Heser of Beaver Crossing and Ethan Heser; and her sister, Joan Slaton Schulz of Bonifay, Florida. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Mary. |
