Obituary

Mary Ellen Noxon was born on December 20, 1931, in Savanna, IL, to Harry B. and Mabel (Eastman) Dyer and passed away on July 25, 2018, in Seward at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 5 days.

Mary grew up in Savanna where she attended and graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1949. After high school, Mary moved to Denver where she lived for several years then later moved to Omaha. It was there that she met Lloyd Harold Noxon. On February 4, 1954, they were married in Colorado Springs before Lloyd was shipped off to serve during the Korean War. After Lloyd was discharged from the Army, the couple moved to Seward until 1965. It was then that Lloyd rejoined the Army. The family enjoyed living all around the World. Mary was a homemaker and a wonderful mother to their four children. She loved square dancing and was very involved with the Military Wives Club, helping decorate for military balls. Mary loved living in Europe. She was a very active member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Seward United Methodist and later the Seward Presbyterian Church. With her birthday being so close to Christmas, she didn't have her first birthday party until her 80th birthday when her children surprised her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy in 1980, and husband, Lloyd in 2005.

Mary is survived by three sons, John and wife Jackie, Seward, James and wife Deana, San Antonio, TX and Jeff Noxon, Seward; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Mary.
