Mary A. Plessel was born on February 11, 1945 in Seward, to Thomas and Anna (Lukassen) Timoney and departed this life on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the age of 67 years 6 months and 27 days. Mary grew up in the Ulysses area and attended the Ulysses school before it closed. She graduated from Aquinas High School in David City. Mary worked as an underwriter for an insurance company and then later at Herpolsheimer's in Seward. On December 26, 1980, Mary married Donald Plessel in York, NE. Preceded in death by her parents, Mary is survived by her husband Don Plessel of Seward; son Michael (Kristin) Plessel of Janesville, Wisc.; daughters Laura (Kirk) Keller of Lincoln and Shelley (Joe) Boner of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; granddaughters Daphne Plessel, Lindsey and Jenna Keller, and Breanne Diaz; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Helen Vodicka, Betty Phillips, Ted Timoney, Rita Shipley, Kate Hayek, and Lois Semin; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
