Melody C. Craig was born on September 7, 1953, in Benton, Arkansas to Elmer Thomas and Wilma Darlene (Snow) Cox and passed away on November 15, 2017, in Milford at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 8 days.

Melody grew up in the Milford area and graduated from Milford High School on May 16, 1971. She was united in marriage to Gary Warren Craig on January 1, 1972 at the Seward United Methodist Church. To this union three children were born, Billie Jo, Tammy Sue and Rick. Melody worked as a Nurse's Aide for many years. She served as an EMT for the Ulysses Fire Department for many years.

Melody was preceded in death by her father, Albert Benson; husband, Gary Craig; son-in-law, Jason Mifflin; brother, Larry Cox; brother, Tom Cox; sister-in-law, Janet Craig; father-in-law, Gordon Craig; mother-in-law, Helen Craig; her grandparents and nephews, Rodney Craig and Elijah Rundell. Melody is survived by her children, Billie Jo of Omaha, Tammy Sue Jaeger and her husband Kerry of Lincoln, Rick Craig and fiancé Sherri Slack of Bee; grandchildren, Tayler Hoffman, Landon and Makenzie Jaeger, Ryan and Candace Craig and Toby Nordmeyer; mother, Wilma Benson of Lincoln; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Nancy Cox of Lincoln, brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Gail Cox of Copperas Cove, TX, sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Monty Kapke of Enid, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Craig of Seward, Janet and Ligie Rundell of Albin, WY, John and Sue Craig of Seward, Brian and Tami Craig of Seward, Melissa Craig of Seward; many nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
