Michael John Douglas was born April 20, 1958 in Lincoln Nebraska to Bruce James and Margaret Helen (Cochrane) Douglas and passed away at his home in Seward, Nebraska on January 5, 2012 at the age of 53 years, 8 months, 15 days. Michael attended Lincoln Northeast High School, Lincoln, Nebraska. Michael served his country in the U.S. Army from 1975 through 1978. He was united in marriage to Jacy Lee Bern on June 24, 2002 at the Presbyterian Church in Seward. Michael was a member and president of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club of Seward and DAV in Lincoln. Michael was an employee of Nebco Ready Mixed Concrete Division in Lincoln. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Douglas. Survivors who will share Michael's memory include his wife, Jacy Douglas of Seward; children and spouses, Matthew Douglas, Lincoln, Krista Douglas, Lincoln, Jessica Schauer, Seward, David Schauer Ulysses, Jennifer and Aaron Erks of Seward; five grandchildren, Savannah Douglas, Dailyn Schauer, Dietrich Erks, Connor Erks and "Baby" Erks; his mother, Margaret Douglas of Ashland; brothers, Steven Douglas of Washington State and Eric Douglas of Lincoln; foster sister, Bobi LoBrillo of Lincoln; father in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Dottie Bern of Wahoo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Nancy Bern of Wahoo, Lynette and Mark Hraban of Orr, Minnesota and Allyson and Tim Maly of Wahoo; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
