Mildred Clara Foster was born on March 13, 1929, in Martinsburg, NE; to Max William and Clara Christine (Thompson) Schneider and passed away on May 14, 2013, in Seward, NE; at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 1 day. The family moved to Ulysses, NE; in 1942 where Mildred attended and graduated from Ulysses High School in the class of 1946. On March 31, 1948, Mildred married Clement "Bim" Wray Foster in David City, NE. She worked as a waitress in Ulysses before working at Bubbles Cafe in Seward. She later worked at Hand Grocery for 5 years before going to Hughes Brothers from 1968 until she retired in 1987 after 19 years of service. After her retirement she and Bim enjoyed traveling and going to Husker games. They traveled to Hawaii to watch them play as well as Iowa and Kansas. After Bim passed away She and Judy took an Alaskan Cruise which she enjoyed very much. She loved bowling on Monday Night League for many years. Mildred loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, 55 year member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 4755, She organized drivers for the Senior Shuttle for 6 years, and a AARP member. Mildred is survived by her children; David Foster of Brainard, NE; Steven Foster and companion Martha Watkins of Simms, TX; Judy Bluhm and husband Fred of Ashland, NE; her brother; Martin Schneider and wife Ruth of Brownwood, TX; sister-in-law; Joanne Berg of Winside, NE; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bim Foster, sister, Emma Burns and husband Adrian, two brothers; Carl Berg and Vern Berg and wife Helen.
