Mildred I. Imig was born June 20, 1922 to J. Elmer and Gladys Yost in Glenvil, Nebraska and passed away on November 29, 2007 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 5 months, 9 days. She was married to Francis W. Moles in 1945. The couple followed his pilot training and education to Florida, California, Connecticut, North Carolina, Lincoln and Bellevue, Nebraska, settling in Seward where Francis taught school in 1952-1953. Mildred was widowed in 1953. Mildred married Robert C. Imig of Seward in 1961 and they had 35 years of marriage before his death in 1996. Mildred graduated as valedictorian from Milford High School in 1940, attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, graduating in 1944 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of the Willard Sorority and later a resident of Love Hall. After college she taught home economics in Tekamah. In 1957, she joined her mother, Gladys Yost, running the Yost Insurance Agency in Milford. She also served as a substitute teacher in the Seward schools until 1976. Mildred was an active member of United Methodist Church. She was also active all her adult life in Womens Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, the American Legion Auxiliary, Seward Extension Club, and Magazine Club. She served on various scholarship committees and on the planning committee for expansion of the Seward Civic Center. Mildred traveled widely throughout the U.S. Beginning with a visit to Greece in 1996, she and Bob made several trips to Europe, and a trip to Japan, Hong Kong and China. In the 1980s and 1990s Mildred and Bob enjoyed January/February vacations in San Diego, California where they had a great number of friends, and where brothers and sisters-in-law would assemble from Iowa and Oregon. Mildred is survived by sons Wayne Moles, Jacksonville, Florida, Lanson Moles, Julian, California and daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Edward Itzen, Lincoln, Nebraska, grandchildren David Moles, Basel, Switzerland, Carolyn Janis, Salinas, California, Jill Kilzer, Lincoln, Beth Kilzer and fianc Matt Hraban, Manhattan, Kansas, Julie and Troy Morris, Grand Island, great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Tessa Morris, sister-in-law, Irma Fleek, Seward and a host of relatives and friends.
