Mildred Irene (Hodde) Miers was born on January 20, 1927, in Seward County, Nebraska to William and Anna (Ficken) Hodde and passed away on October 11, 2023, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 8 months and 21 days.

Mildred grew up in Seward where she attended and graduated from Seward High School. On May 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to Dale Miers at St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Milford. Mildred and Dale were co-owners of Dales Steak House, Dales Motel and Seward Econo Wash Laundromat. They also had various commercial and residential rental properties. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for many years.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 1989; two brothers, Walter Hodde and Werner Hodde; two sisters, Lily Hahn and Evelyn Hicks; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willard and Wanda Miers, Dick and Della Miers and Norman Cross.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her children, Craig Miers and Lynette Maier; grandchildren, Jeremy, and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Chase, Hunter, Lillee and Gannen; sister-in-law, Lucille Cross; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
