Mildred "Millie" A. Lance was born on April 27, 1932, in Roca, Nebraska to George and Mary (Fisser) Bargman and passed away on April 18, 2017, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 22 days. Millie grew up in the Sprague area where she attended school. She moved to Lincoln where she began working at various jobs.
On October 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Edmund "Ed" Lance in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Larry, Linda, Les, Lori and Eddie. They lived all of their married life in the Seward area. Millie was a life member of the VFW Post #4755 Auxiliary ~ Seward and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she was a member of the PCCW. She enjoyed bingo, slots and keno. Millie also loved polka music and dancing. She enjoyed traveling around listening to Ed's polka band, "Seward Polka Dotts". Millie and Ed also enjoyed playing in shuffle board tournaments. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and making chocolate chip pancakes.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed in 2014, two sons, Les in 2013, and Larry in 2016, two brothers, Elmer and Donnie and a sister Betty Kadavy.
Survivors include her children, Linda Babcock and husband Dave, Lincoln; Lori Pierce and husband Dennis of Keller, TX; Eddie Lance and wife Robin of LaVista, NE; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Lance of Crete, NE; and Linda Birkes-Lance of Seward, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, two sisters, LaVerne Hyde, Deloris Wilke and husband Bob all of Staplehurst, sister-in-law, Evelyn Brown and husband Norman of Fort Myers, FL.
