Milo Jules Olson, Jr., was born on April 27, 1943, in Sioux City, Iowa to Milo and Rebecca (Pipette) Olson, Sr., he passed away on February 2, 2013 at his home in Pleasant Dale at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 6 days. He grew up in Crete where he loved to play football and basketball. He graduated with the class of 1961. He then attended Compton Junior College in Compton, CA from 1961 through 1963. He started his career as a machinist during college. Milo married Darleen Patton and to this union 5 children were born. He later married Shirley Ann Hayden on August 1, 1981, in Pasadena, CA. In 1986, they moved to Grand Parrie, Texas where he worked at Vought Aircraft for 20 years, retiring in 2006. The couple returned to Nebraska where they lived in Pleasant Dale for the last 6 years. Milo loved watching sports, fishing, camping. He enjoyed working with his Ham radio and of course spending time with his family. Milo is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shirley Olson of Pleasant Dale, his children; Ginger Harrison and husband Doug and their children; Joshua Perley, Amber Stanton, Christopher Harrison, and their children; Levi, Samarra, Nolan, Triston, Sean, Liam and Logan Deanna Pokorny and her children; Jason Hensley, Theodore Martinez and Amy Renee Thrash and their children; Alyea, Theodore, Tyler, Conner, Dominic, Zoie, Cierra, Sloan, Savanna Rick Olson and wife Bonnie and their children; Jakob Olson, Ashlee Olson, Alex Olson, April Burchett, Denise Baker Alex, Blake, Tejarna, Rachel, Breanna, Dillon Kristine Hyde and husband Mike and their children; Sara Miller, Jami Hyde, Lacey Hyde, Michael Hyde Jayla Robert Adams and his children; Shealynne Adams, Jade Adams, Braxton Adams, Gabrielle Adams Milo J. Olson III and his children; Milo Olson, Brayden Olson, Jace Olson Michelle Stander and husband Jeff and their children; Cody Mulbery, Baylee Mulbery, and Natalie Stander Melissa Schueth and husband Duane and their children; Kolby Duer, Kaydy Duer, and Bryce Schueth. and one sister Patricia Olson of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
