Our Loving Mother, Nancy Ruth (Ramsay) Radford, passed away in her home in Seward, Nebraska on this day of our Lord, January 14, 2017. She was born on July 29, 1937 and raised in Seward, where she g raduated from Seward High School in 1955. Nancy and her classmate friends still get together once a month for lunch. She completed one year of nursing school, at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Nancy was married to her children's father, husband - Jerry DeWitt (deceased) for 21 years. The children were raised in Beatrice, Nebraska. Nancy was married to Ivan Radford (deceased) for 12 years, with homes in Louisiana and Florida. She returned to Seward in 1997 and with the family and family skills, created her lovely current home. She was a very active member of Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church and her community. Nancy was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Come help us as we celebrate her life.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Anderson) Ramsay, father, Roland Ramsay, sister, Jane Graff and nephew, Carl Fosler.
She is survived by her four children: Kimberly DeWitt Baker, New Orleans, Louisiana, Mark Ramsay DeWitt (Yoon DoohAh), Seoul, South Korea, David Oren DeWitt (Deborah Popovich), Los Angeles, California and Jeanne Margaret Maschmeier (Bruce), Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Additional survivors include her siblings: sister, Marian Fosler (Dale, deceased) of Seward, Nebraska, brother, William Ramsay (Pat) and sister, Dorothy Heidemann-Nelson (Don), both of Lincoln, Nebraska; her four nieces, seven nephews, six grandchildren, and six (soon to be seven) great grandchildren.
Services will be at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward, Nebraska on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at Olde Glory (previously the Presbyterian Church) immediately following the services.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the following Charities: Backpack for Kids - Seward and People's City Mission - Lincoln.
